Dutch tourist dies in skiing accident in Austria
A Dutch holidaymaker has been killed in a skiing accident in the Austrian Alps.
The 50-year-old man fell on the piste and struck a wooden marker post, Austrian media reported. Nobody else was involved in the incident in the resort of Sölden on Sunday.
Emergency services were unable to land an air ambulance at the scene because of bad weather. Other skiers administered first aid but were unable to revive the man, who died at the scene.
