A man has died after being shot during a disturbance at a North Brabant nightclub.

A second person was wounded when gunfire broke out at Beachclub Sunrise in Best at at around 11.45pm on Sunday, the Eindhovens Dagblad reported.

A 33-year-old man from Den Bosch, was resuscitated at the scene and taken by air ambulance to hospital in Tilburg, where he later died. The other victim is being treated in hospital in Eindhoven.

Police said it was unclear why the shooting happened, but eyewitnesses said there was a ‘hostile’ atmosphere in the car park outside the venue, where around 150 people were gathered at the time of the incident.
