Utrecht 3 v 0 Go Ahead Eagles: Utrecht move above Eagles
Go Ahead will feel hard done by in a game in which the visitors had enough chances to take at least a point back to Deventer.
Robbin Ruiter denied ex-Utrecht player Leon de Kogel and the Utrecht keeper kept the hosts in the game after Marcel Ritzmaier and Sinan Bytyqi failed to give the visitors a deserved first half lead.
Go Ahead were made to pay before the break when Giovanni Troupee gave the hosts the lead.
Rico Strieder doubled the hosts lead early in the second half before Ajax loanee Richairo Zivkovic settled the tie for the home team.
Sparta 2 v 2 Willem II: Sparta fight back to earn point
Thomas Verhaar hit a late equaliser to give the hosts a point at Het Kasteel.
Spanish striker Fran Sol gave the visitors a two goal lead before Craig Goodwin halved the deficit for the Rotterdammers.
Ex-Spartan Eric Falkenberg saw his shot hit the inside of the post before Verhaar brought the sides level in injury time in the hundredth year anniversary of the legendary Sparta stadium.
PSV Eindhoven 1 v 1 Heracles Almelo: Champions drop more points in Eindhoven
PSV again failed to win at home as the reigning champions were held by Heracles.
After captain Luuk de Jong failed to hit the target brother Siem lost possession in midfield and Heracles striker
Samuel Armenteros took advantage to give the visitors a shock lead.
Striker Gaston Pereiro brought the sides level before the break but the champions could find no way past Belgium keeper Bram Castro in a disappointing second period.
Groningen 0 v 3 Heerenveen: Frisians cruise past struggling Groningen in the derby of the north
Groningen played out the game with nine men as Heerenveen moved above champions PSV in the Eredivisie table.
Heerenveen winger Arber Zeneli gave the visitors the lead on seven minutes before Danny Hoesen and Oussama Idrissi missed the chance to bring the hosts level.
Referee Richard Liesveld gave the visitors a boost when showing Jason Davidson a red card for kicking out at Zeneli and the hosts never recovered.
Sam Larsson doubled the visitors lead on 74 minutes before Reza Ghoochannejhad sealed the derby win nine minutes later.
Liesveld had earlier shown Samir Memisevic a second yellow leaving the visitors to take full advantage and move into an impressive third place in the table.
AZ Alkmaar 2 v 2 Vitesse Arnhem: Supersub Muhren saves point for AZ
AZ fought back with two goals in the last twenty minutes from substitute Robert Muhren.
Vitesse looked to be in full control after the outstanding Chelsea loanee Lewis Baker and Ricky van Wolfswinkel gave the visitors a comfortable two goal lead.
AZ boss John van den Brom gambled on forward Muhren and the nephew of Dutch and Ipswich legend Arnold paid the coach back with a late double to give the hosts a share of the spoils in Alkmaar.
Twente 2 v 2 PEC Zwolle: PEC fightback to earn vital point
Equalising goals from Youness Mokhtar and Django Warmerdam gave the visitors a share of the points in Enschede.
Mateusz Klich opened the scoring for Twente with an 8th minute minute penalty, only for PEC to hit back before the break through Mokhtar.
Twente dominated the second period but failed to take advantage as Bersant Celina, Dylan Seys and Enes Unal failed to convert opportunities.
With 77 minutes on the clock Manchester City loanee Unal finally gave the hosts a deserved lead, but PEC hit back in the closing stages as Warmerdam fired home from the edge of the penalty area.
Excelsior 0 v 1 Roda JC: Roda claim first win of the season in Rotterdam
A second half David Boysen goal, the first for Roda in almost 600 minutes of football, finally earned the visitors a first win of the season.
Excelsior dominated throughout but failed to take any of a host of chances and were made to pay as Boyson cut in from the left wing before firing home on 56 minutes.
A first win of the season moved the visitors above PEC Zwolle and off the foot of the table on goal difference.
NEC Nijmegen 1 v 2 Feyenoord: Nine games, nine wins for Feyenoord
Feyenoord continued a perfect start as late goals from Nicolai Jorgensen and substitute Michiel Kramer overturned a one goal deficit in Nijmegen.
NEC scored against the run of play when a Mohamed Rayhi shot squeezed through the hands of Feyenoord keeper Brad Jones.
The visitors pushed for an equaliser but it wasn’t until the introduction of Steven Berghuis and eventual match winner Kramer that the league leaders claimed a ninth consecutive Eredivisie victory.
Jorgensen eventually levelled matters on 80 minutes after efforts from Berghuis and Dirk Kuijt came back off the frame of the NEC goal.
And Jorgensen was again involved as his shot rebounded off the post before Kramer bundled home the 92nd winner to leave Feyenoord top of the table with nine wins in nine games.
ADO Den Haag 0 v 2 Ajax: Ajax ease past tame ADO
Ajax claimed a ninth win in a row with victory in Den Haag.
Davy Klaassen opened the scoring after the captain combined with Lasse Schone after 20 minutes.
The struggling home side never troubled Ajax and when Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore found the net after good work from German forward Amin Younes, the Amsterdammers cruised to a simple win.
