It’s official: Limburg is in the grip of a heatwave
The temperature has tipped 25 degrees for the fifth day in a row in central parts of Limburg province, meaning the region is now in the middle of an official heat wave.
In the Netherlands, a heatwave means the temperature has beaten 25 degrees for five subsequent days, and gone above 30 degrees on three of them.
Weather bureaus say the temperature will remain in the mid 20s over the weekend, but there may be some summer storms particularly in the east of the country.
