Dutch could be set for their most successful Olympics ever
The Netherlands could be looking forward to its most successful Olympics ever, if the virtual medal table put together by sports information group Gracenote proves to be correct.
Gracenote suggest the Netherlands could win as many as 29 medals during the games, four more than its record 25 during the Sydney Olympics of 2000.
However, Dafne Schippers, widely tipped to win the sprint double, will only take bronze in the 100 metres, Gracenote says.
The company predicts the US will top the medals table with 102 medals and China will be in second place with 78.
