Dutch police have carried out a second raid on a property in Rotterdam in connection with the arrest of French terror suspect Anis B on Sunday.

No one was arrested in the raid on a flat in the Kralingen district and police say that was not the aim of the raid.

The public prosecution department said on Wednesday morning that no explosives or weapons had been found at the property but police had seized a computer and paperwork.

Nothing more is known about the results of the raid. ‘The police officers who worked last night are now asleep,’ Nos quoted department spokesman Wim de Bruin as saying.

An unknown quantity of explosives was removed from the Rotterdam flat where B had been living following his arrest on Sunday. Police also seized drugs, telephones and other weapons in that raid.

B was arrested on behalf of the French authorities and is said to have been preparing a terror attack in France. He was arrested alongside three Algerian nationals.

On Tuesday it emerged that B plans to fight his deportation to France. This means the courts must decide within 90 days if he can be extradited.

Two of the Algerian nationals arrested with B appeared in court in Rotterdam on Wednesday for a remand hearing.
