David Bowie exhibition in Groningen extended for four weeks
The David Bowie exhibition in Groningen has been extended for four weeks to cope with the extra demand following the artist’s death.
The show David Bowie Is at the Groninger Museum was due to close on March 13 but the show’s organisers have now decided to add in the extra dates. So far 62,000 people have visited the Dutch exhibition and 45,000 tickets have been sold for future dates.
‘After Bowie died we were concerned that the family would want everything back, but that is not the case,’ museum director Andreas Blühm said. ‘We had to negotiate to keep the exhibition here but everyone quickly agreed it would stay.’
Tickets for the extra days go on sale on Monday.
