The Dutch housing market continues to recover with 14,545 homes changing hands in November, the land registry office said on Friday.

This is a 24% rise on November 2014 but an 11% drop on October, the land registry said. Its figures trail those issued by estate agents because they are based on completed contracts.

Detached houses showed the strongest growth, with sales up by 29% compared with last year. Utrecht was the most popular province with a 30% rise in sales over the year. Flevoland was least popular, but nevertheless, sales in the newest Dutch province were up nearly 9%.
