Dutch are world’s sixth richest population
The Dutch are the sixth richest population in the world, according to the latest Global Wealth Report by German insurance group Allianz.
What is noteworthy is that other EU member countries dropped down the list. Germany and Belgium dropped four places to 9 and 19 respectively. France and Italy dropped 11 places to 16 and 20.
The Dutch have average net assets of €78,000 per head of the population, an increase of 21.6% on 2014.
Net financial assets are calculated by combining private household assets, including pensions and annuities, but excluding art and cars, and dividing it by the population.
