Police strike leads to five Eredivisie matches being postponed
The five Dutch Eredivisies matches which have been cancelled this weekend because of the police strike will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday instead, the Dutch football association KNVB said on Thursday.
Three matches, including AZ–Ajax, will go ahead without police cover and Feyenoord-Utrecht is not affected by the strike.
‘We wish it would be different for the fans, clubs and everyone else who was looking forward to the start of the season this weekend,’ the organisation said in a statement.
