Police seize 150 cars in investigation into Limburg car theft gang
Police investigating a car theft gang in Limburg have confiscated over 150 cars plus hundreds of car parts, news agency ANP says on Friday.
Last week, five people were arrested during a string of raids on properties in the village of Swalmen near Roermond after a tip-off from German police.
The cars, of varying types, were kept in a number of lock-ups and warehouses and police have not ruled out making further seizures, ANP says. Photographs taken at the scene show a Porsche and a classic car among the haul.
A 42-year-old man remains in custody in connection with the investigation which is still expected to take several weeks.
