Some 300 jobs are to go at the government’s UWV benefit agency over the next three years, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

The job cuts have been made necessary by increased automation, which means fewer people are needed, the paper says. Compulsory redundancies have been ruled out.

Some 20,000 people currently work at the UWVs, which administer benefits and help people reintegrate into the workforce.
