PVV leader Geert Wilders under fire in Austria
An Austrian muslim organisation has asked the Austrian public prosecutor to investigate anti-Islam party leader Geert Wilders for incitement to hatred and insulting Islam, the Telegraaf reports on Friday.
The complaint came after Wilders visited the right-wing FPÖ party in Vienna in March and held a speech about Islam at the Hofburg, which includes the official seat of the Austrian president.
‘This legal jihad is unbelievable,’ Wilders said on Twitter. ‘The truth may be unpleasant for some, but that does not mean it is not the truth.’
The Telegraaf does not say whether the Austrian authorities will take any action.
