Lone wolf returns to Germany
The wolf which has been roaming northern parts of the Netherlands since the weekend appears to have returned to Germany, news agency ANP says on Wednesday.
The provinces of Groningen and Drenthe say they have received reports that the young wolf has been spotted in Germany, where it was first seen last week.
The wolf was spotted and filmed several times and some experts were concerned about its apparent lack of fear of cars or people.
The provinces say they will continue to monitor the wolf’s whereabouts because they are able to travel long distances fairly quickly.
