Police arrest three in organised drugs crime raids
Police on Friday arrested three men in a string of raids on 15 properties in West-Brabant, Zeeland and Amsterdam.
One man, a 40-year-old Amsterdammer, is said to be behind the gangland killing of a Lithuanian national a year ago. The two others are said to be involved in the drugs trade. A fourth suspect is still being sought.
In total, 200 police officers were involved in the raids. They also found a marijuana plantation as well as drugs and weapons.
Lithuanian Gintas Macionis was shot in the head at his holiday home in February 2014. Several people have already been arrested in connection with his killing which is thought to have been ordered by a rival drugs gang.
