Strike may hit ATM cash deliveries
Workers for money transport firm Brinks are going on strike on Saturday which may cause problems for people wanting to withdraw cash from ATMs, RTL news said on Friday.
The CNV trade union has not said what form the industrial action will take but a refusal to fill empty ATMs is on the cards, RTL said.
‘The jobs of 600 people are on the line,’ the union is quoted as saying.
Brinks has a workforce of some 1,000 but has not yet come up with a redundancy plan for the workers who will lose their jobs.
Brinks is cutting its workforce after losing its biggest client Rabobank. Rabobank is shifting money delivery services to Geld Service Nederland next year.
