Three draws and one win for Dutch clubs in Europe

There were mixed fortunes for the four Dutch clubs taking part in the final play-offs for the Europa League on Thursday night.

FC Twente, away to FK Qarabag in Azerbaijan, failed to score but kept their opponents in check as well for a final score of 0-0.

PSV, at home to Belarus side Shakhtyor Soligorsk, managed a 1-0 win but leave themselves a difficult task in the return leg next week.

In Ukraine, the match between Feynoord and Zorya Luhansk ended in a 1-1 draw. The match was played in Kiev because Zorya is based in eastern Ukraine where pro-Russian rebels are in control.

PEC Zwolle, in their first foray into European football, managed to hold Sparta Prague also to a 1-1 draw.
