More reports made to police child porn hotline last year
The police child pornography hotline received 535 reports last year, an increase of 39 on 2012, website nu.nl says on Friday.
The reports centre on people making pornography, distributing it or downloading it from the internet.
The number of suspects also rose, from 507 in 2012 to 563 last year, the police figures show.
Reports came from all over the country. Rotterdam led the way with 29 reports, followed by Amsterdam on 27. However, in terms of the size of the population, the Brabant villages of Mill and Sint Hubert had most reports (1.83 per 10,000 residents).
