Dutch Waves top British music charts
Dutch rapper-turned-singer Mr Probz has gone straight to number one in the British singles chart with his debut UK release Waves.
Mr Probz, real name Dennis Princewell Stehr, is the latest in a string of Dutch artists to top the British charts. The song was also a hit in Belgium and France but did not get higher than sixth place in the Netherlands.
Dance duo Bingo Players, dj Martin Garrix and dj Nicky Romero all scored hits last year, the BBC reports. Garrix is the youngest Dutch chart topper in the UK. He was just 17 when he scored with Animals last November.
Bingo Players were the first Dutch chart toppers since Junkie XL in 2002 with A Little Less Conversation.
