Labour loses a seat to GroenLinks as election result is finalised
Final calculations by the election council in the wake of Wednesday’s general election resulted in a one-seat transfer from the PvdA to the left-wing greens GroenLinks, website nu.nl reports.
The shift, which means Labour now have 38 seats and GroenLinks four, follows a mistake in the way left-over seats were divided up, the website says.
Parties make pacts before the election so their votes can be combined to win any left-over seats. GroenLinks was the beneficiary of its agreement with the PvdA.
The revised result is as follows:
VVD 41 (31) 26.5%
PvdA 38 (30) 24.8%
PVV 15 (24) 10.1%
CDA 15 (21) 8.5%
SP 15 (15) 9.7%
D66 12 (10) 7.9%
GroenLinks 4 (10) 2.3%
ChristenUnie 5 (5) 3.1%
SGP 3 (2) 2.1%
PvdD 2 (2) 1.9%
50+ 2 (0) 1.9%
