Housing webside Funda.nl should stop giving priority to members of the Dutch real estate association NVM, the competition authority said on Thursday.

The anti-cartel body has made a ‘quick scan’ of the website and says property from NVM members is placed higher up the site than non-members. This disadvantages them in finding buyers, the NMa said.
The NVM points out Funda.nl was set up by the NVM to benefit its members.
‘We took the risk, made the investment and make the improvements,’ a spokesman told news agency ANP. ‘Non-members can now profit from this, but it is obvious members and non-members should not be given the same treatment.’
