Dutch Rail happy with smart card use
With 80% of passengers using the smart card on its services, Dutch Rail (NS) is happy with the take-up of the smart card on its network, the public transport provider told NOS.
Just one in five people are still using paper tickets, mainly out of concern they may forget to check out, says Dutch Rail.
Paper tickets will be scrapped in December 2012.
