A member of the pro-paedophilia foundation Martijn has written to prime minister Mark Rutte asking for extra protection after several attacks on his home in Hengelo.

Two weeks ago, a children’s rights group named Partij Rechten Kind held a demonstration outside the man’s home. Since then, he says, his house has been daubed with paint, windows have been smashed and he has been physically attacked.
The man wants Rutte to ensure he gets similar protection to anti-Islam campaigner Geert Wilders, saying that the local police force cannot ensure his safety.

Prosecution
Meanwhile, lawyer Yme Drost is planning to go to court in an effort to force the public prosecution department to take legal action against the foundation. In June, the department said there were no legal grounds to prosecution Martijn.
At the weekend it emerged that the department has asked Drost to speed up his application, known as an Article 12 procedure, to have the foundation prosecuted.
The same legislation was used by anti-racist groups to force the public prosecutor to take action against Wilders for inciting hatred and discrimination.
Drost told a radio programme he thought it remarkable that the public prosecutor is urging him to take legal action against one of its own decisions.
The lawyer is representing the family of a three-year-old girl who was sexually abused by a neighbour. The neighbour claims to have picked up tips on how to groom children from the Martijn website.
