Four hackers released from custody

Four men aged 17 to 35 who were arrested earlier this week in connection with an international investigation into website hacking have been released from custody, the public prosecution department said on Friday.

The men have been released because they cooperated with the investigation, and made statements about their hacking activities and involvement with hackers group AntiSec NL, the department said.
It is still unclear if they will eventually face charges.
The FBI-led investigation resulted in 16 other arrests in the US and one in Britain.
Fourteen of the US arrests related to an online attack on the PayPal internet payment site in December, which was claimed by the hackers group Anonymous. Anonymous led attacks on PayPal, Visa and Mastercard for refusing to accept donations to the website Wikileaks.
