AC Milan win boosts Ajax’ coffers
AC Milan’s Italian league title has benefited Amsterdam football club Ajax to the tune of €750,000, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.
The money stems from the €1.7m transfer of Urby Emanuelson in January. That contract also included the provisio that Ajax would get more money if Milan took the title.
Ironically, Emanuelson himself did not play in the title-winning match, the paper points out.
