Cruijff is prepared to take on Ajax role

Football legend Johan Cruijff is prepared to take up a job at Amsterdam football club Ajax as part of efforts to solve the management crisis, he says in his weekly column in the Telegraaf.

‘If your interference helps set the ball rolling, you cannot refuse to take any responsibility,’ Cruijff wrote.
Nevertheless, Cruijff did not say what position he will take at the club. According to one report, he may join the supervisory board for two years.
Ajax’s management and supervisory board and general director are all standing down after refusing to implement a plan to improve technical standards at the club drawn up by Cruijff.
