Dutch nationals should leave the Gulf state of Bahrain as soon as possible, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.

All travel to Bahrain had already been advised against, following the outbreak of anti-government protests.
Some 500 Dutch nationals live in the oil-rich country and 300 have already registered with the embassy in Kuwait – the nearest Dutch diplomatic mission.
