One of the Netherlands’ most successful actors and musical stars Antonie Kamerling, has committed suicide at the age of 44.

Kamerling had suffered from depression for several years.
He leaves his wife Isa Hoes, also an actress, and two children.
Kamerling’s career took off in 1990 when he landed a key role in tv soap opera Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden. He went on to star in a number of successful films and tv series, as well as stage musicals.
