The juvenile court in Utrecht will on Wednesday morning hear social workers’ demands that 14-year-old Laura Dekker be removed from her father’s home.

Laura, who wants to become the youngest person to sail solo round the world, ran away last week and was tracked down on the Caribbean island of St Maarten on Sunday. She was returned to the Netherlands on Tuesday.
Laura was made a ward of court in October after judges ruled she was not yet ready to make the trip.
