Dutch children’s wellbeing best in Europe

The wellbeing of Dutch children is the best in Europe, according to a survey of 29 countries by British charity Child Poverty Action Group.

The survey is based on 43 factors ranging from friendships to housing and infant mortality rates. Dutch children topped the league in terms of how happy they feel they are and in how easy they find it to talk with family and friends. They are also the second healthiest behind Sweden and fourth in terms of education and behaviour.
Sweden is in overall second place and Norway third. The UK is in 24th place.
Surveys by the World Health Organisation and Unicef have reached similar conclusions.
