The Netherlands must end the ‘irresponsible’ conditions in which Holland’s only convicted female terrorist is being held at the high security prison in Vught, according to prison inspectors working for the Council of Europe.

Soumaya S has been completely isolated in the special terrorist unit since last July when the only other female suspect was released.
‘We will speak to the Dutch government about this,’ prison committee member Marc Neve told the Volkskrant. The committee has twice raised the issue of S’s treatment with the Dutch authorities but so far no action has been taken, the paper says.
