Dutch petrol most expensive in Europe

Euro 95 petrol is more expensive in the Netherlands than anywhere else in Europe, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday quoting research by German motoring organisation ADAC.

A litre of Euro 95 costs an average of €1.69 in the Netherlands, compared with €1.53 in Germany and €1.58 in Belgium, the paper says. Taxes account for some 57% of the Dutch petrol price.
