Wilders edits film to remove mistakes
Right-wing MP Geert Wilders is to amend his anti-Islam film Fitna in an attempt to avoid legal action, news agency ANP reports on Monday.
Wilders wants to replace the photograph of a Dutch rapper with that of the real killer of film-maker Theo van Gogh. Rapper Salah Edin has threatened to go take legal action because his picture was mistakenly used in the film.
Secondly, the use of a cartoon showing Mohammed with a bomb in his turban will be removed from Fitna after protests from the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard who did not give permission for his work to be used in the film.
However, now that LiveLeak.com has dropped the film, Wilders has a problem getting the corrected version into circulation. ‘I will do my utmost to get the revised version into the public domain,’ Wilders told ANP.
