Princess Ariane admitted to hospital
Princess Ariane, the three week-old daughter of crown prince Willem-Alexander and princess Máxima, has been taken into hospital with a suspected lung infection.
The princess was admitted to the Leiden University medical centre which has a children’s intensive care unit, should this become necessary, the state information service RVD said.
Doctors are currently carrying out tests on Ariane who was born on April 10. The RVD said more information about the baby’s health would be available late morning.
