Biggest Dutch current affairs magazine Elsevier up for sale
Reed Business Nederland has put its current affairs magazine Elsevier and investors journal BeleggersBelangen up for sale because they no longer fit with the company’s portfolio.
The company, part of Anglo-Dutch information giant Reed Elsevier and now known as RELX Group, is shifting from publishing to the provision of software and data.
Elsevier is the biggest circulation current affairs weekly in the Netherlands with paid circulation of some 85,000. Eight years ago, before the shift to online news, Elsevier had 140,000 subscribers.
Reed Business Nederland sold 17 trade press titles, including Distrifood and Misset Horeca, in December.
