Staffing agency Randstad boosts earnings as economies pick up
Temporary employment agency Randstad, one of the biggest staffing agencies in the world, booked net profit of €340m on turnover up 4% at €17bn last year.
The company says 2014 was a ‘successful year’ with strong growth in North America, the Netherlands and the rest of the world outside Europe. However, growth in Europe itself had slowed, the company said.
Randstand plans to pay out a record divided of €1.29 a share over 2014, a rise of 36% on 2013.
‘The growth in January 2015 is also encouraging, especially as France seems to be improving,’ said chief executive Jacques van den Broek. ‘Our growth rate in permanent placements remains solid and the attention to commercial activities is paying off.’
