Cabinet negotiator reports back to queen on Thursday evening

Coalition negotiator Ivo Opstelten is to present his findings to queen Beatrix on Thursday evening, clearing the way for her to appoint VVD leader Mark Rutte as prime minister designate.

Work on appointing ministers for the minority VVD Christian Democrat government, which will be supported by the anti-Islam PVV in parliament, can then formally begin.
The meeting should have taken place on Wednesday but was delayed because of a last-minute dispute over statements made by two CDA dissident MPs.
Statement
Kathleen Ferrier and Ad Koppejan were summoned to appear before party leader Maxime Verhagen on Wednesday to explain comments they had made on tv on Tuesday.
The duo told a tv talk show they still opposed the deal, despite voting for it, and wanted to ‘unmask’ PVV leader Geert Wilders. Wilders had apparently told Verhagen to intervene.
According to Nos tv, the two have promised not to make any more critical comments.
But Koppejan sent a message to supporters via the microblogging service Twitter on Thursday morning which said: ‘People had better get used to it, including Mr Wilders. It will happen a lot more during the coming years.’
