Win for Feyenoord gives NL two Champions League spots in 2024
Feyenoord’s 1-0 home win over AS Roma on Thursday night has made sure the Netherlands will have two clubs in the 2024-25 Champions League competition.
Sporting CP lost to Juventus and that means Portugal cannot now overtake the Netherlands, which is in sixth place in the key Uefa coefficient list.

The win means that numbers one and two in the Eredivisie next season will qualify automatically for the big ticket competition, while the club which comes third can take part in the qualifying rounds.
Feyenoord beat AS Roma in the first leg of their two-way tie for a place in the Europa League semi finals. The return match takes place next week.
AZ of Alkmaar, who are competing for a place in the Conference League semis, lost 2-0 away to Anderlecht of Belgium.
