Amalia in public eye as Dutch royals pose for photographers
The Dutch royal family have once again posed for photographs which are aimed at ensuring the paparazzi leave them alone during private engagements.
The royals used to pose twice a year – once in the summer and once ahead of their winter sports holiday – but are now only appearing as a family for photographers when all three daughters are together.
Princess Alexia is currently at school in Wales but is home for half term. The last family photo session took place in June.
The photo is also the first of princess Amalia since it emerged that threats had been made against her and she was forced to move back home, rather than live in a house with other Amsterdam University students.
The photos were taken at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, which is currently hosting an exhibition about queen Juliana.
