A chilly weekend ahead, and there could be snow in the north
The weather in the Netherlands will turn chillier from Friday and there is a cold and windy weekend ahead, weather forecasters say.
After this week’s sunshine, the cloud and rain will return from Thursday and there could be night frosts in the north at the weekend.
While the KNMI weather bureau says it will rain on Saturday and Sunday, as the temperature drops to well below 10 Celsius, Buienradar suggests there could even be snow in northern parts.
‘It is starting to cool off in the north and the north east, but it is still relatively mild in the south,’ meteorologist Martijn Dorrestein said. The change in temperature is due to chilly winds moving in from the east, Dorrestein said.
The chilly weather won’t last long and day time temperatures of around 10 Celsius, which are normal for the time of year, will be back later next week.
