Woman rescued floating 11 kilometres off the Dutch coast
The Dutch coast guard rescued a woman some six nautical miles, or around 11 kilometres, off the coast of Scheveningen on Thursday.
The woman was spotted calling for help by a small Belgian pleasure yacht, but the crew were unable to get her on board, and then called in the emergency services, RTL Nieuws reported.
She was taken to hospital with hypothermia.
The coast guard say they do not yet know how the woman ended up in the water.
