Ham causes jam on A67 as lorry sheds pigskin cargo
Part of the A67 motorway was brought to a standstill on Monday after a lorry shed its load of pig carcasses.
The Eindhoven-bound carriageway at the Velden junction was reduced to one lane while the highways agency Rijkswaterstaat cleared and cleaned the road surface.
In a tweet, the agency said the road was ‘spekglad’ (slippery as bacon) after the pigskins were strewn across the inside lane.
