Teen jogger stabbed in chest by car driver while out running
Dutch police are investigating an attack on a young Dutch women when she was out for her evening jog near Egmond Binnen in Noord Holland on Monday evening.
The woman, who is 18, was stabbed in the chest by the driver of a car which slowed down alongside her. The driver wound down the window and hit the women once before driving off.
The woman ran on a few hundred metres and then collapsed. It was only after she was taken to hospital that nurses realised she had been stabbed.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. The attacker was driving a dark coloured car but no further details have been made public. Police did say the attack may have followed a ‘conflict’ with the driver.

Meanwhile the young woman’s mother has told the Telegraaf the attack is ‘too bizarre for words’. ‘I can’t think of why anyone would want to do this,’ she said.
Her daughter is in a stable condition in hospital.
