Amsterdam police investigate four explosives and shooting incidents
Amsterdam police are investigating three separate incidents, two involving explosives, in the same street in the west of the city.
A small explosion on the Johan Huizingalaan in Slotervaart on Wednesday morning damaged a bus shelter and the door to a building, said by the Parool to be the Moroccan Javanese restaurant Marovaan.
Marovaan is owned by the daughter of former borough council leader Achmed Baâdoud.
On Tuesday, a grenade was found outside a cleaning company office on the same street and the building was also shot at in the early hours of the morning.
Mayor Femke Halsema on Tuesday closed down the company because of the risk to public safety. The office is next to an interior design shop which was was shot at this weekend, the AD said.
Also on Tuesday, a grenade was left attached to the door of a café in the Jan Evertsenstraat in the city district of West.
The locations are several kilometres apart but police are investigating if there is a link between them, the Parool said.
