Man dies after falling off Amsterdam’s crane hotel during weekend party
A 32-year-old man has been killed after falling from the Faralda Crane hotel on the northern bank of the IJ in Amsterdam, the Parool said on Monday.
The man, who is said to come from outside Amsterdam, was not a tourist but no further information has been made public by police, the paper said.
The hotel has three suites and a panorama deck for events. The party where the man died was taking place on the deck, some 10 metres from the ground.
Frederique van Waning of event organisation company Crossing Wires, told the Parool some 60 people were at the party but fewer were still in the crane when the accident happened.
According to AT5, the fall was preceded by an argument. Police have launched a major investigation.
