Warm spring weather to dip ahead of Liberation celebrations

Temperatures could reach as high as 26°C on Wednesday as the Netherlands enjoys a spell of warm, sunny spring weather, according to weather bureau Weeronline.
However, temperatures will start to dip again from Friday and it will be cooler on May 4 and 5, when the Netherlands remembers its Second World War dead and celebrates Liberation Day.
On Monday in particular, temperatures will range between 10°C and 15°C, accompanied by a chilly northerly wind. Rain is likely to stay away for the weekend and Monday, although it will not be as sunny as earlier in the week, Weeronline said.
The KNMI paints a similar picture, with the best of the weather on Thursday and cooler weather from Saturday onwards. It also predicts below average temperatures and no rain well into May.
