Train passengers warned of 15-minute delay to information panels

Rail passengers across the Netherlands were thrown into confusion on Tuesday morning by a 15-minute time lag on official information screens.
Train operator NS advised travellers to check the app, on-board announcements or their watches, after the screens on all stations were found to be running a quarter of an hour behind.
The company later said the delay was caused by an error in a software update. The issue was resolved at around 11am.
The disruption coincides with an unusually busy morning rush hour in Amsterdam, where trains have been cancelled after weekend maintenance work on the line overran.
Renovation work is ongoing at Amsterdam’s Centraal Station until April 24. Track and station operator ProRail is upgrading platforms 14 and 15, including new facilities that will allow direct Eurostar trains to London to resume.
