Police seize €1.5 million worth of hash in Scheveningen

An Amsterdam man has been arrested after police found 145 kilos of hash—some €1.5 million worth—on his speedboat in Scheveningen port over the weekend.
The 49-year-old had been sailing in the North Sea on Saturday when his boat experienced engine trouble some 70 kilometers off the coast.
After the Royal Dutch Rescue Society (KNRM) towed his vessel to port, a police check found the drugs hidden in 13 bags.
The man is being held on suspicion of drug smuggling.
