Missing Dalfsen children found safe in Belgium

The two children who were reported kidnapped from Dalfsen in the province of Overijssel on Monday morning have been found in good health in Belgium, police said on Tuesday morning.

The brother and sister, aged six and 11, were located in Oudenaarde, south of Ghent, with the help of the Belgian authorities, police said. According to the AD, they were with both their parents who have been arrested.

The children had been living with a foster family in Dalfsen and police issued an amber alert after they disappeared, saying they feared for their welfare. The children were last seen at the town’s railway station at around 8 am.

On Monday evening, police raided a house in Enschede as part of the investigation,which is still ongoing.
