Den Bosch women win Euro Hockey League for third time

Den Bosch hockey club’s women’s team have won the Euro Hockey League with a 5-1 victory over Belgium’s Braxgata.
Playing in front of a home crowd, the Dutch side claimed the hockey equivalent of football’s Champions League title for the third time in their history.
Den Bosch reached the final by defeating Belgian team Gantoise, whose men’s side had earlier taken the men’s title. They beat six-time champions Bloemendaal 5-2 to lift the cup for the first time.
The Belgian men’s team included 31-year-old Alexander Hendrickx, who played for Amsterdam club Pinoké for six years before returning to his roots this season.
